| The current Waukegan School District web site was designed around the exciting news and events happening in the district. A rotating series of slide shows tops the news features. News is managed via a custom web application which was also designed and developed for Waukegan by WildDog Design. | ||

We also worked with Waukegan School District 60 to design a custom intranet web site for staff members. The login is based on LDAP/Open Directory. In addition to basic staff information, news, calendars, links to resources and department sites, there are many interactive features including a staff directory, district forms search/access, RSS news feeds, print services request system, personal information updater and much more. |

| Waukegan Public School District 60 | ||
| The original Waukegan School District web site was designed around the district motto "A New Day...A New Way...in Waukegan Public Schools." The graphic incorporated photos from early days in the school district through the present. The news feature and many other current site features were originally developed for this site. | ||

| Woodland School District 50 | ||
| WildDog Design worked with the Woodland School District 50 Technology Committee (administrators, staff members and parents) to design their site around a graphic theme using a tree to symbolize the district. The tree graphic changed with the four seasons. Our original news feature was developed to serve the Woodland site. The site was divided into major sections based upon the user groups: students, parents, staff, and job seekers. Additional sections included About District 50, Administration, School Board and Departments. Although they are not pictured here, WildDog Design also designed and developed the district's Primary, Elementary, Intermediate and Middle School web sites. | ||

| Woodland Wildcat Web (Intranet Site) | ||
| WildDog Design also designed and developed Wildcat Web, Woodland School District 50's intranet web site. The site is accessible for staff members only on an internal server. The intranet site provided a common location to provide information to staff members. The major sections of the site included: Links, Bookmarks, Resources, Staff Information and Publications. | ||

| JOOMLA WEB SITES | ||
| Joomla is a free open source content management system. WildDog Design worked with the Waukegan School District to transition their school and department web sites (36 total sites) from an older costly content management system to Joomla. The transition included working with each school and department to redesign their sites as well as move content to the new platform. Training and support was provided for school and department webmasters on the new Joomla system. Screen shots of some of the sites are included below. | ||

A web site is NEVER DONE! On a good site, the content and features are constantly changing to meet the needs of the audience. The life span of a web site design is approximately two to three years. New techniques, new tools and new features as well as additional organization needs dictate the frequency of major revisions or a total redesign.
